PM Lee updates on the COVID-19 situation in Singapore

Singapore has extended current partial lockdown by another four weeks and will now last until June 1.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his address to the nation today announced this as a measure to curb the further spread of coronavirus infections in the country.

The lockdown, which include the closures of most malls, workplaces and schools, was initially set to run until May 4.
Singapore recorded its biggest ever daily increase with over 1400 new coronavirus infected cases on Monday.
As per the latest communique from the health ministry, Singapore has confirmed a total of 9,125 cases of the coronavirus pandemic.
